How to Clean and Store the Resin Tank

Tools Needed:

① Paper Filter x1

Alcohol Spray Bottle (with industrial alcohol) x1

③ Silicone Funnel x1

④ Lint-Free Cloth x2

⑤ Silicone Scraper x1

Operation Requirement:

① Before cleaning, please ensure to wear personal protective equipment, such as nitrile gloves, protective masks, goggles, etc.

1. Start by placing the silicone funnel into the opening of the resin bottle. Once the silicone funnel is in place, insert the paper filter into the opening. Press the paper filter into the silicone funnel far enough so that it will hold its shape and be secured for pouring.

2. While the DF2 printer is in standby, open the chamber door. Press the two release buttons, as shown in the red circle below, and the resin tank will automatically pop up. Carefully remove the resin tank.

3. Using the pour spout on the left-hand corner of the resin tank to pour the excess resin through the paper filter and silicone funnel. When pouring, any solid resin waste or debris in the resin tank will remain in the paper filter. The waste in the paper filter can be discarded into the resin waste bin first before continuing to pour out the remaining resin. With the resin removed, discard the paper filter, set the silicone funnel aside for cleaning, and seal the resin bottle.

4. Spray a small amount of industrial alcohol into the resin tank from the alcohol spray bottle, gently scrape the bottom, sides, and edges of the resin tank with a silicone scraper. Pour the remaining resin and industrial alcohol into a waste liquid collection container. If necessary, repeat this step until the residual resin in the resin tank is basically cleaned.

Notes:

1. Do not use excessive force when scraping the bottom of the resin tank with a silicone scraper, as it can damage the bottom release film.

2. IPA alcohol is also applicable.

5. Use a lint-free cloth with industrial alcohol to wipe clean the inside and outside of the resin tank.

6. After the resin tank is left to dry, use another piece of lint-free cloth with industrial alcohol to wipe clean the inside and outside of the resin tank again.

7. Point the dried resin tank towards a light source and inspect for cracks or obvious deformations on the bottom release film. If you find any, please replace the resin tank with a new one. Please refer to the Printer Maintenance section in the "Raise3D DF2 3D Printer User Manual" for detailed replacement instructions. If no issues are found, please cover the resin tank and store it in a cool, dark, dry place or in an unused DF2 printer.

Note: The resin tank should not be placed on sharp objects to avoid damage to the release film at the bottom.
