How to Replace the Touchscreen Assembly

Tools:

① Phillips head screwdriver

② Flat head screwdriver

③ 2.5mm hex wrench

④ 2mm hex wrench


1. Make sure the printer power is off.

 

2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the four M4x8 retaining screws of the PC cover on right front corner and use a 2.5mm hex wrench to remove the four M3x8 countersunk screws on the front side of the cover.

3. Take off the PC cover.

 

4. Use the 2mm hex wrench to remove the three hex screws for the Touchscreen Assembly.

5. Use a 2mm hex wrench to remove the four M3x6 countersunk screws on the back of touchscreen assembly.

6. Carefully remove the back cover of the RaiseTouch assembly. Remove the battery cable and the reset button.

7. Remove the screw on green terminal with the flat head screwdriver. Remove the power cable. Remove the USB cable and network cables at the bottom of the board. Remove the assembly from the printer.

8. Loosen the screw on green terminal on the new board with the flat head screwdriver. Insert the power cables under the screw then tighten the screw to secure the cables.

Note:

1.    The red wire should be inserted into the positive (+) terminal, and the black wire goes to the negative (-) terminal.

2.    Make sure that the power cable is secured properly with screws.

9. Remove the tape strip cover at the back of the terminal and place terminals into the box.

10. Connect the power cable, the USB cable, the network cable to the new board.

Note: Pass the USB cable through the lower end of the touch screen assembly, and then insert it into the slot on the left as shown in Figure 11.

11. Reinstall three retaining screws on the back to secure the touchscreen assembly to the printer. Turn on the printer to check if the screen powers up.

12. Confirm that the screen is operating normally. If so, install the back panel to the printer.
