[ Manual Pro2 Series - How to Lubricate the XYZ Axis - V1.0 ]
Regular maintenance of a Pro2 or a Pro2 Plus 3D printer includes lubricating different axes that allows the build plate to move smoothly. For the best results, Raise3D recommends using silicone lubricating grease to lubricate the axes every 3 months. If the axis makes a strange noise, please lubricate the axis more frequently.
Required Tools:
① Silicone lubricating grease
② Towel
1. Turn the power on. Navigate to the “Utilities” page and select the round “Disable Motor” button located in the top left of the screen.

2. Clean the axes.
• Wipe off the remaining grease from the X and Y axes.

• Wipe off the remaining grease from the (four) Z-axis rods and the (two) Z-axis ball screws.

3. Put some silicone lubricating grease on a clean towel, and apply it to all the motion rods and screws with the towel.
4. Move the extruder gently to evenly lubricate the X and Y-axis.

5. Select the “Utilities” tab on the touchscreen. Select “10mm” as the movement step, then select the down arrow button to lower the build plate to the bottom of the printer. Press the Z “Home” button to home the build plate to the top. Repeat these steps several times to make the build plate move up and down along the Z axis until the grease is completely spread.

6. Home the build plate, and make sure that all the moving parts are working smoothly. If the grease is not evenly spread along the axis, there will be a frictional sound as the plate moves. If this occurs, please return to Step 5.
