1. Lower the build plate.
1) In the “Utilities tab”, lower the Z-Axis platform by selecting the down arrow.

2) Lower the plate until you have enough space to comfortably maneuver tools within the area.
Note: The recommended value of Z-axis is 150-250mm.
2. Unload the filament.
1) In the “Utilities” tab, verify that the temperature is the set as the recommended temperature for your filament. (For example, 215℃ for Raise3D PLA)
2) Adjust the temperature if required. Press the “Unload” button to unload the filament.
3) The printer will begin to heat up to the designated temperature. Once the temperature is reached the target temperature, select the “Unload” to unload the filament.

3. Cool down the nozzle.
1) In the “Home” tab, select the left nozzle temperature. In the new window, set the temperature to “0℃”, and select “OK”. Repeat this step for the right nozzle.
2) Allow the nozzle to cool down completely before continuing the next steps.
3) When the extruders reach an ambient temperature, power off the printer.

4. Remove the front fan.
Use a 2mm hex wrench to remove the 4 fixing screws of the front fan.

5. Use a 2.5 mm hex wrench to remove 1 fixing screw on the fan mounting block.

6. Use a 2.5mm hex wrench to remove the two screws securing the fan.

7. Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to remove the 4 fixing screws on the hot end shaft sleeve.

8. Remove the sleeve.

9. Prepare a new sleeve.

10. Pass the sleeve over the throat, aligning the screw holes on the sleeve with the flat on the shaft.

11. Use a 1.5mm hex wrench to install the 4 screws on the hot end shaft sleeve.

12. Use a 2.5mm hex wrench to install the two screws that secure the fan.

13. Use a 2.5 mm hex wrench to install 1 fixing screw on the fan mounting block.

14. Use a 2mm hex wrench to install the 4 fixing screws of the front fan.

12. Calibrate the left nozzle.
1) Select the left nozzle icon, and select the down arrow to ensure the left nozzle is enabled.

2) Place the feeler gauge (included in printer accessory box) under the left nozzle.
3) Home the Z-axis, then verify the new height with the feeler gauge.
4) To adjust the nozzle height, rotate the large thumbscrew as depicted in the following figure.
Note:
1. Don’t adjust the small side-mounted screw.
2. Homing is required each time the knob is adjusted.
3. Repeat until the desired result is achieved.
4. Adjustments should be made gradually. You will see the change in altitude after homing the bed.

13. If you want to use the right nozzle alone, or carry out dual-color printing, you need to calibrate the right nozzle.
Note: The left nozzle and the bed should be in proper position before continuing the following steps.
1) In the “Home” tab, heat the right nozzle to 180℃.
2) Enable the right nozzle by selecting the icon, then selecting the down arrow.

3) Once the nozzle is enabled, set the temperatures to “0℃”, and allow them to cool down completely before continuing.
4) Once the hot end has cooled completely, inset the feeler gauge under the right nozzle and check for proper height.
5) Follow the step 12 to calibrate the right nozzle.
Note: Do not adjust the height of the build plate. Adjusting the build plate will affect the left nozzle.
