1. Ensure that the printer is powered off at the rocker switch located at the rear of the machine.
2. Remove the marked retaining screws from the machine, using the 2.5mm hex wrench, and remove the magnetic bar.
Note: When removing the exterior screws retaining the magnetic bar, secure the bar by hand when removing the final screw.
3. To remove the currently installed touchscreen, unplug the connecting wires. Use a 2.0mm hex wrench to remove the retaining screws on the back cover of the touchscreen housing, then carefully remove the back cover. It is important to be mindful of the wires used for the reset button when removing the back cover.
The anti-static bracelet can be worn for the steps that follow.
4. Disconnect the Ethernet cable, the USB cable, the camera cable, the power in cable, the reset button, and remove the screw that attaches the grounding wire from the former touchscreen (If your Ethernet cable is connected into the screen, remove the screws and the Ethernet cable adapter).
Carefully remove the current touchscreen component from the printer.
5. Use the 2mm hex wrench to remove the rear panel of the replacement touchscreen, place the touchscreen into position on the printer, and carefully route the cables through the bottom of the touchscreen box and mount the component into the printer.
1) Once all the cables are routed inside the touchscreen box, attach the Ethernet adapter to the Ethernet cable and plug it into the touchscreen.
2) Carefully plug the cables into their appropriate positions. The connections for the USB and the camera cable are interchangeable. Then, affix the grounding wire to the touchscreen.
3) The order of the pins of the harness: From left to right: The first one starts with the black pin and the second one starts with the red pin.
6. Align the touchscreen rear cover onto the housing, and use a 2mm hex wrench to fasten the retaining screws to secure it.
The anti-static bracelet can be removed at this time.
7. Use a 2.5mm hex wrench to fasten the screws used to secure the touchscreen component and magnetic bar to the printer.
