How to Replace the Touchscreen

Tools:

①2.5mm hex wrench

②2mm hex wrench

③Philips head screwdriver

Antistatic wrist strap


1. Remove the retaining screws from the PC cover with the 2.5 mm hex wrench and remove the magnetic bar. The two silver Philips screws must also be removed to get the magnetic bar out.


2. Before installing the new screen, please unplug the wires and remove the 3 screws in the front panel to remove the old screen from the frame. Use a 2mm hex wrench to remove the retaining screws on the back cover of the screen box, then open the back cover.


3. Remove the screw with a 2.5mm hex wrench to remove the magnetic bar.

 

4. Disconnect the ethernet cable, the USB cable, the camera cable, the power cable, the reset button, and remove the screw which attaches the ground line from the old screen (If your Ethernet

cable is connected into the screen, remove the screws and the Ethernet cable adapter).

 

5. Remove the 3 screws on the front of the printer and remove the old touch screen.


6. Prepare the new touch screen, plug the cable into the bottom of the touch screen and put it in the printer.

1)     Once all the cables are put inside the touchscreen box, attach the Ethernet adapter to the Ethernet cable and plug it into the Touchscreen.

2)     Carefully plug the cables back in. The plugs for the USB and the camera cable are interchangeable. Then fix the ground wire to the touch screen.


7. Disconnect the Ethernet cable, the USB cable, the camera cable, the power cable and remove the screw which fixes the ground wire from the old screen.

 

8. The order of the pins of the harness: From left to right:

The first one starts with the black pin and the second one starts with the red pin.


9. Re-assemble all of the components following the above steps.
