2) Adjust the temperature if required. Press the “Unload” button to unload the filament.
3) The printer will begin to heat up to the designated temperature. Once the temperature is reached the target temperature, select the “Unload” to unload the filament.
2. Power off the printer.
3. Remove the 8 screws on top cover with the 2.5mm hex wrench.
4. Remove the retaining screws on the upper and lower edges of the plastic covers. Use Philips screwdriver to remove the air filter fan at the same time.
5. Cut the ties which hold the harness at the lower side of top cover.
6. Lift the top cover up manually.
7. Remove the screws in the shaft coupler at the rear-right corner with the 1.5mm hex wrench.
8. Remove the screws which hold the Y Motor.
Note: Secure the motor with your hand when removing the screws.
9. Remove the coupler and the Y motor from the printer.
10. Rotate the back rod and motor shaft manually until both of their flat surface faces up.
11. Put the new coupler to the Y Motor Shaft.
Note: Rotate the coupler slightly until one of the retaining screws faces directly over the flat surface on Y Motor Shaft.
12. Put the motor with the new coupler back to its original position.
Note: The two screws on the coupler face the plane of the motor shaft and the rod.
13. Lift the Y motor and pre-tighten the four screws supporting the motor.
14. Slide the coupler forward and backward to verify the alignment of the motor shaft and the rod.
If the movement is not smooth, it cannot be aligned. If it is not aligned, adjust the position of the Y motor until the coupler can slide back and forth smoothly.
Note: If the motor cannot be moved, loosen the four mounting screws slightly.
15. Fix the motor in place and tighten all the screws on the rack. Recheck the movement of the coupler. If it cannot slide, repeat step 14.
16. Make sure the flat surface on Y motor shaft and back rod face upwards and two retaining screws on Y coupler are directly over the flat surfaces as well.
Move the coupler forward until it almost covers the flat surface on back rod.
