How to Replace the Left Side Cooling Fan

Tool:

①2.5mm hex wrench

②2mm hex wrench

③1.5mm hex wrench


A. Move the Print Head to a Position Where You Can Easily Operate It

Adjust the print head to a position where you can easily operate it.


1. Select the “Utilities” tab on the screen.

2. Select the “Unlock” button on the upper left corner on the screen.

3. Push the print head carrier to move the extruder to a position suitable for operation.

B. Remove the Left Side Cooling Fan

1. Turn off the printer and cut off the power.

2. Remove the back cover


1)Remove the back cover and remove the 7 screws from it. 6 of the screws require a 2mm hex wrench to remove them and are indicated with a red circle in the image below. One of the screws requires a 2.5mm hex wrench to remove it and is indicated with the green circle in the image below.

3. Remove the right side cooling fan.

1)Remove one screw on the side cooling fan assembly with the 2mm wrench.

2)Remove the two screws on the rear of the side cooling fan using a 2.5mm wrench, press the latch, and remove the side cooling fan cable.

3)Remove the side cooling fan assembly.

4)Remove the two screws using a 1.5mm wrench and remove the left side cooling fan.

C. Install the New Left Side Cooling Fan

1)Prepare the new left side cooling fa, align the air exhaust vent of the left side cooling fan with the empty slot of the side cooling fan cover 1, put the side cooling fan in place, and tighten the two screws on the assembly using a 1.5mm wrench.

2. Prepare the assembled side cooling fan, pass the cable of the left side cooling fan through the empty slot, and put the left side cooling fan in place.

3)Press the buckle, insert the side cooling fan cable, and install the two screws on the back of the side cooling fan assembly using a 2.5mm wrench.

4)Install one screw on the side cooling fan assembly with a 2mm wrench.

5)Put the back cover in place and tighten the 7 screws on it. 6 of the screws require a 2mm hex wrench to replace them and are indicated with a red circle in the image below. One of the screws requires a 2.5mm hex wrench to replace it and is indicated with the green circle in the image below.

Note:Put the back cover in place, and install it. Remember to avoid tightening the cables when tightening the screws.

D. Check If the Side Cooling Fan Runs Normally

1. Find the power switch at the bottom right on the back of the printer and turn on the switch.

2. Adjust the fan speed to check whether the side cooling fan works properly.

1)Select the “Tune” tab on the screen.

2)Select “Fan speed”,tune the Fan speed from 0 to 100,and observe whether the fan runs normally.
