7.4 Import/Export Filament

Open the Prepare to Slice panel, and click More (for the Left/Right nozzle’s filament) > Import from Local Disk to import the material (.filament file) from your lock disk into ideaMaker. After selecting the material from your local disk and clicking Open, the Add Material panel will pop up, as shown in Figure 2 in Chapter 7.2. In this panel, you can edit the material’s parameters, such as Material Type Abbreviation, Brand, Display Name, Diameter, Density, Price, Flowrate, Color, and so on.


Open the Prepare to Slice panel and click More (for the Left/Right nozzle’s filament) > Import from OFP to import the new material from OFP (Open Filament Program) into ideaMaker. For details, please refer to Chapter 5.1.6 Import Template, Option 2.


Open the Prepare to Slice panel, select the filament for the Left/Right nozzle, and click More (for the Left/Right nozzle’s filament) > Export to save the selected material (.filament file) onto your local disk.
