[ Manual Pro2 Series - How to Remove the Jam - V1.0 ]

Tools:

①    2 mm hex wrench

②    2.5 mm hex wrench

③    Nipper pliers

④    Nozzle cleaning rod

⑤    8 mm socket spanner

⑥    Tweezers

1.   Power off the printer. Uninstall the thumb screw from the side of extruder you want to clean.

2.   Insert the nozzle cleaning rod (found in accessary box) into the feeding entrance to detect area of blockage. Mark the depth on the nozzle cleaning rod and take it out from the extruder. Compare on outside of extruder assembly to see where the jam is located.

3.   Remove the M3 screw with 2mm hex wrench and take the Filament Run-out Sensor off.

4.   Follow the instructions below to solve the jam issue in this height.

5.   Verify no other filament materials remain in this section, if clear then re-install the Filament Run-out Sensor.

6.   Remove the two M3 screws on back side with 2mm hex wrench and remove cable cover. Remove the two M4 screws (1 on each side) with 2.5mm hex wrench and remove extruder.

7. Follow the instructions below to solve the jam issue in this height.

8.   Verify no other filament remnants, if clear, re-install the Filament Run-out Sensor.

9.   Remove the Four socket head screws with 2.5mm hex wrench and take out the nozzle lifting system.

10.   Follow the instructions below to solve the jam issue in this height.

11.   If the jam issue hasn’t been fixed with the above steps, please move to next step.

12.   Remove the hot end.

NOTE: Please do the following operations with heat resistant gloves.

Power on the printer. Heat the nozzle to proper temperature. (Recommend setting is 10 degrees hotter than the temperature for the filament stuck inside.) Remove the hex screws marked in pictures to remove the fan and the hot end.

13.   Loosen the four screws on the heating block. Remove the heating rod and the Thermocoupler from the hot end.

NOTE: The temperature of the heating rod and nozzle is very high, don't touch them without heat resistant gloves or let them touch other components.

14. Set the temperature of two nozzles to 0 degrees and wait for them to cool down.

15.   Remove the silicone cover. Remove the nozzle with 8mm sleeve with one hand and hold the heating block with the other hand with heat resistant gloves on.

16.   Insert the nozzle cleaning rod all the way through the throat tube to push the remnant filament out. (If it is too hard to push, please insert the probes of heating rod and Thermocoupler into the heating block to heat and try again.)

17   Re-install the hot end and tighten the nozzle. Check whether there is a tiny gap between nozzle and Heating block.

18. Install the hot end assembly.

19. Install everything Back.

Please refer to Manual Pro2 Series - How to Replace the Hotend -V1.0 as reference during installation of Hot End.

If the jam issue cannot be fixed with the above steps, a new Nozzle may need to be taken into consideration.
